Your Right to Data Deletion
You can ask Swadeshi Central to delete the personal information we hold about you. This page explains what data we keep, how to make a request, and what happens next. Swadeshi Central is operated by Swadeshi Central TX LLC (Round Rock, Texas).
What Personal Data We Hold
- Account & contact details — your name, email, phone number, and pickup city/location.
- Order history — items ordered, pickup dates, order numbers, and any Swadeshi Cash balance.
- WhatsApp messages — support conversations you have with us on WhatsApp.
- Marketing preferences — whether you opted in to WhatsApp / email updates.
We do not store full card numbers — card payments are handled by our processor (Stripe), and Zelle payments are made directly through your bank.
How to Request Deletion
Send a request from the email or phone number on your account so we can verify it’s you:
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
- Message us on WhatsApp.
- Use the Contact page.
Please include your name and the email/phone used with Swadeshi Central so we can locate and verify your records.
What Happens Next
- We verify your identity, then delete or anonymize your personal data — normally within 30 days.
- We confirm by email or WhatsApp once it is done.
- Deleting your data may close your account and any Swadeshi Cash balance, and you will stop receiving updates from us.
What We May Keep (and Why)
Some records we are required to retain even after a deletion request, for example:
- Order & transaction records needed for tax, accounting, and legal/dispute purposes, kept for the period required by law.
- Information we must keep to prevent fraud or to comply with a legal obligation.
These are kept only as long as required and are not used for marketing.
Third-Party Services
Data held by our service providers — such as Stripe (card payments) and WhatsApp — is governed by their own privacy and retention policies, and you may request deletion directly with them as well.
